How To Stencil On Wood With Acrylic Paint
plaque Now you can stencil anything that will hold acrylic paint, with your own custom design or logo. Just follow the simple instructions on the home page to create your custom stencil. Then follow the steps below.
1. Position Your Stencil.
stencil Place the stencil on the plaque to be stenciled.  Be very careful with the alignment of your stencil.  The stencil must lay flat on the plaque in order to keep the paint from bleeding under the edges so press it down after you get your alignment.
2. Place Your Paint On Stencil Or On Squeegee.
paint Lay a line of paint on the top  edge of the stencil (Or you can put the paint on your squeegee) Be sure to use enough paint to cover the entire width of the copy and sufficient to cover the complete stencil.  You can save any excess paint by scraping it off of your stencil when finished so be sure and use enough.

3. Squeegee The Paint Across The Stencil.
queegee Hold the stencil in place with two fingers on left hand side as  shown.  Now pull the squeegee across the copy in one smooth stroke using light to medium hand pressure. Check to be sure that the copy parts are completely filled with the paint color before you remove the stencil.  
4. Here's Your Masterpiece In One Stroke!
project Now carefully remove the stencil by lifting from one edge. Once You are started you can easily make dozens or even hundreds of copies of your artwork by simply repeating the process.  Also You can save your stencil to use hundreds more times by simply washing it out with water and drying it for safe keeping.  Then let your artwork dry. It is that simple.
 

How To Stencil On Fabric With Acrylic Paint.

1. Here Is Your Stencil Ready To Print, Paint or Etch!
stencil Here is the way your stencil will look after you have exposed, developed and dried it like shown on the Home Page.  Now it is ready for use.  You can use it as it is or put it on a Frame. See Oak Frames Below.
2. Place the Stencil.
stencil placement Place the stencil on the fabric to be stenciled.  Be very careful with the alignment of your stencil and line up your copy exactly where you want the design to go. The stencil must lay flat on the fabric in order to keep the paint from bleeding under the edges.
3. Apply the paint.
paint stencil If you do not use a frame simply hold the stencil in place with two fingers on left hand side as  shown. Apply the paint to the edge of the squeegee and pull it across the copy in one smooth stroke using light to medium hand pressure. Check to be sure that the light parts are completely filled with the paint color before you remove the stencil.
4. Carefully Remove the Stencil.
remove stencil It's important that you lift the stencil straight up off the fabric to keep it from smearing. In this picture, the stencil is being lifted from just one edge, while the other side of the stencil is held in place until it is free from the stencil.  Your prints usually only take One Stroke and it is done is just a few seconds.
5. Enjoy Your Painting!
It's that simple!   Enjoy your custom stencil work!  Make sure to wash and dry the stencil, so you'll be able to use it hundreds of  times. If you want your fabric to be washable, just wait for the paint to dry, lay a piece of scrap cloth or paper over the paint, and iron for about 4 minutes. This will heat set the paint so that it won't bleed or fade in the wash.

 

 How To Use Your Stencils As A Rubber Stamp!
